OVERVIEW
After the success of our Enameled cast iron and Tri-ply stainless steel lines for Saveur the client, Winnington Metal, came back to ask us to design a small collection of Asian inspired carbon steel cookware.
Savoring tradition
Winnington wanted to use a Nitri-Black finish on the pans to make sure they were corrosion-resistant and rust-proof. The specially-treated surface is 5x harder than regular carbon steel. We chose to develop a minimal design with stay-cool cast metal handles which was inspired by classic Asian pan styles but also showcased the technological advancements of the production technique.
