Where are they now? Gargi Deoghare

"Hello! I'm Gargi, a multidisciplinary designer with a versatile background at prominent Fortune 500 companies such as PepsiCo, Philips, and Lay's. With extensive experience spanning North America, Europe, and Asia.

My journey commenced with an enriching internship at Prime during the summer of 2017. The experience was filled with valuable learnings, both professionally and personally. The studio and the city itself taught me a great deal about navigating the fast-paced world of art and design. Stuart was truly a mentor who cared about my growth as a designer and as a person. This internship proved to be an invaluable learning opportunity, offering a comprehensive understanding of the design process from initial client meetings to final rendations.

Little did I anticipate that my professional journey would evolve into a globetrotting adventure. After a brief stint at Philips, I pursued a master's in Strategy and Innovation design from Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, Italy. I truly learnt to live the culture from pesto to coffee and it has now become a part of me. The real-world beckoned when I joined Pepsico as a Brand and Strategy designer. Here, I contributed to iconic brands like Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Lays, and Quaker. From digital campaigns to packaging designs, I played a pivotal role in shaping brand guidelines for a solid foundation. Additionally, I collaborated closely with esteemed clients, including Decathlon, Hisense, Harman Kardon, Crate & Barrel.

Along the way, my passion for teaching and mentoring emerged, leading to starting my venture, The Dexign Collect. I've had the privilege of teaching and mentoring over 500+ students through masterclasses and workshops. Fueling my insatiable curiosity, I took an academic break to pursue an MBA in Vancouver, Canada, and seized the opportunity to join Lomi, a BCorp dedicated to sustainable products, as a Senior Brand and Visual Designer.
