New Business Development Person

We have an opportunity for a part-time Business Development person to join our team. This is a new position and the successful individual will work directly with Stuart Harvey Lee, the Founder of Prime Studio.

This role requires an individual who demonstrates a high level of energy and persistence, prior experience in the design consultancy business (preferably product and packaging design) and an approachable, consultative manner appropriate for creating trust and confidence in potential clients. We have an easy-going studio environment and cultivate frank, honest relationships with our clients - we are not a slick, smooth talking operation.

The main responsibilities of the position will be to identify and qualify new business leads and opportunities, directing and ensuring ongoing business growth. This will be achieved through frequent, regular and methodical prospecting and developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key decision-making client personnel. In addition the successful candidate should be able to communicate Prime’s vision and strengths, create and deliver compelling design capability and sales presentations and close business. Additional responsibilities will include working with the existing team to raise Prime’s profile through PR, outreach and promotion.

We are looking for a proactive, self directed individual with the ability to operate with minimal direction and 4+ years of demonstrated, consultative business development expertise with a product development or similar professional services firm. Product Design Intern

We have an opportunity for  a part-time (2 or 3 days a week) locally based product design intern. We offer a stipend as well as the opportunity to contribute to live projects in the studio. Good sketching and communication skills are a must as well as a good proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Knowledge of Ashlar Graphite and/or Solidworks is a plus.
