Prime Studio celebrates 15 years

03/18/13

We’re very pleased to announce that Prime Studio is celebrating 15 years of business this week so we wanted to give a hearty thank you to all the clients and talented designers we’ve had the pleasure to work with over the years.

We wouldn’t kid anyone that it’s all been smooth sailing but the team that we’ve assembled and the work we’re currently producing makes it all worthwhile. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to be able to continue to fulfill one of our original goals – to work on a really wide variety of projects for a range of smart clients.

Flip through the slideshow to see some of our favorite projects from over the years.

2013 Chicago Housewares Show – 1

02/28/13

We’re getting ready for the International Housewares Show in Chicago this weekend where we have a bunch of new projects launching including these adorable bag clips we designed for the Chip Clip brand. Looking forward to seeing them on display.

Let’s start to give this project some kick….

01/24/13

Our first ever collaboration on a Kickstarter project just went live. We’ve been working with Dylan Mishan, a young inventor/entrepreneur for the last couple of years to help him develop the Lynx cleaning dock. In a nutshell it’s a modular cleaning system which comprises of one pole plus multiple cleaning heads all housed in a teeny, tiny stand which takes up hardly any space in your closet. The magic moment in the project was when we developed a new quick connect mechanism which allows you to easily add or remove a cleaning head without having to touch it or bend over. Check out the video on the kickstarter site to see it in action.

Dylan’s a great guy who really believes in this project and I really hope he gets the backing he’s looking for – so go on over and give him a pledge.

YumBox launches

11/05/12

We’re pleased to announce the upcoming launch of the Yumbox, a kids lunch box we designed for a new start-up company Boolabox LLC. The founders of the company, Daniela Devitt and Maia Neumann, came to us with a vision for a cute, convenient kids lunch box which encouraged healthy eating habits. Yumbox’s pre-portioned illustrated tray guides you to pack a healthy and hassle-free lunch. The tray is divided into five ½ cup portions of the key food groups: Fruit, Vegetable, Grains, Protein, Dairy plus a small treat or dip well. In addition Yumbox’s unique single lid seals all food wells individually – food won’t touch or leak outside of the box and it means you never have to worry about a lost lid.
