After all the furor caused by the new Gap logo (which looks like it’s going to last for an even shorter time than Tropicana’s re-branding) I thought I should start a thread of logo’s we do actually admire. So I’m starting with one of my all-time NYC favorites – Par plumbing.
The logo was originally designed in 1975 (note to Gap – change for change’s sake is not always recommended) by David Enock of Enock Interactive (looks like they went through a re-branding themselves – I’m not sure there was any “interactive” back in 1975 ?).
Anyway pure magic, loved it the first time I saw it 20 years ago and it still looks fresh now.
